Going nuts replacing chirping cam synch on 2001 3.0 L. Found #1 compression stroke with finger in spark plug hole, but could see no marks on damper or flywheel pulley.

Haynes says on 4.0 L to count 6 teeth before missing tooth - that is TDC mark.

Is that the procedure for 3.0 L also?

Thanks for the help!

Thanks!

Thanks so much for those links. Job is done, and no more chirping!
