2000 Tail light question

That would work even better. Amazon says it won't fit, but other parts stores like o'reilly say it will, so I'll give it a shot. Thank you so much!

Dorman web page says 1999-2011 Ford

If you select 2000 Ford Ranger with 5-speed auto it fits, if you select 4-speed auto it say it doesn't fit, the 2.5l and 3.0l had 4-speed in 2000, 4.0l had 5-speed in 2000
2001 and up all Rangers had 5-speed auto

But here's the thing............there was no external difference or internal difference between the 4-speed and 5-speed automatics, 0, none, nada, el zippo
It was a change in computer software
So not sure what thats all about

I would say it fits for any 2000 Ranger

That was my thought too, since the PRND on the dash is the same across all automatic transmissions. Thanks!
