Need a little help. My Ranger has been sitting for about 18 months. Yes I know that is bad but it could not be helped. Anyway after i got it ready to start when I tried to jump it I had interior lights and radio lights but when I put the key and turned it to give it a go the interior lights went out and a clicking started coming from behind the dash. It only clicks when either of the doors are open. I can put the key in and my dash instruments seem to be working, but no interior lights what so ever. Is this the dome light relay or something along that line? Thanks.

means your battery is junk and the jump box or cables are bad too.

The other posters are right. The battery is most likey done. I run a CATERPILLAR 230-6368. And it's a perfect fit. Not sure it if it's the same for your truck. When I crank it only goes down to 11.1 volts. So it's more than enough to start it. My battery book is at work. If you have a couple days I can look it up for you. Send me a PM. I'll give you all of the specs on what CAT battery will work for your application. Plus CAT is good about battery warranties.
