I have replaced the radiator and water pump on my ranger along with the thermostat. I have smoke coming out; however, it does not smell like coolant. the oil has no coolant or water in it. there is a nother housing behind the water pump that was leaking. I tightened it down and it does not look like it is leaking any more. What is my problem...

That's the timing chain cover, if the chain gets loose and rubs a hole in that thin metal the coolant will seep through, drop your oil and check for water/coolant

Or it could have seeped past the loose bolts, I'd have pulled it and put some rvt on there, should probably change the fluids also. Good luck

Is the engine overheating?

Are you losing coolant?

"I have smoke coming out"
Of the tail pipe?

Hood area?

Blown head gasket hardly ever gets coolant in the oil now a days, it can of course, but no coolant in the oil is not the sign of a 100% good head gasket.
