2000 ext cab 5.0 4r70 swap driveshaft question

If you set your engine right you won't have to mod the stock length shaft...

My transmission currently is slip yoke but the truck is a 4wd that has the flange at the head of the d shaft. I won't be installing a tcase in it, is that going to make a different details as follow

Currently
4wd ext cab auto 4.0 ranger

Going in
1996 explorer 5.0 4r70w with the tail housing and shaft modified for 2wd.

I have the yoke from the donor trans car. If I use a hybrid unjoint should I be able to just install that to the stock ranger shaft and use it. Is that what you mean?

The 4x4 has the slip section in the shaft, whereas the 2sd slip is in the yoke that goes in the trans...you will need to get a 2wd driveshaft...
