What size tires can fit on a stock 2000 4x4 Ranger. And what size lift would you need for 33's to fit?

If you turn the torsion bars up to level, a 32x11.50-15, 265/75-16 will fit fine, or a narrow 33" like a 285/75-16 or 33x10.50-15. To fit a wider 33" like the common 33x12.50-15 you will need at least a 3" body lift (about $250 plus install) or a 4" Superlift suspension (about $1800 plus install).

Just happened to see you've got the 3.0L. You just may have to re-gear to start running them bigger tires, what gear you got now?

My truck is a 2 wheel drive. The 200 4x4 is a buddy of mines.

Most 98+ 4x4 Rangers had 4.10 gears, but not all of them did. Some had 3.73's.

My 99 had 3.73's. My 02 had 4.10's. An Off-Road or FX4 would have 4.10's. Generally speaking, if it came factory equipped with 16" wheels it will have 4.10's. I have seen Rangers with 255/70-16 tires have 3.73 gears however. Except for FX4's, if it came with 15" wheels and 235/75-15 tires it's gonna have 3.73's. Just gotta check the axle tag for sure unless you have the original window sticker.

I also have a 2000 4x4. my keys are cranked all the way. can i really fit 32x11.5? ive been trying to find 31x11.5s but thats hard to find in a mt. I have a pretty big offset rim too. heeeeeelp:icon_thumby:

With your aftermarket rims with less backspacing, yes 32x11.50's will fit. On stock rims the fronts will rub on the inside.

I have a 2001 and was running 32x11.50x15 with no lift and these were on a 15x8 rim. I wouldnt think there would be much difference from 2000 to 2001.

how posative are you that 32x11.5s would fit
Very. If they are on an aftermarket 15x8 rim with 3.75" backspace and you have done a torsion twist. On the stock rims, with a torsion twist, they will rub a little on the inside at full lock but not badly.
