2000 4x4 Front Center caps

i just bought a 2000 4 X 4 Ranger with the aluminum alloy wheels , and the front center caps have a hole in them, large enough for manual hubs, but the truck has electronic type hubs, what gives with the big a$$ hole in my center caps, I found replacement ones in the LMCTruck catalog, and they are original equipment.
Would there be any problem replacing them with the solid rear caps?

Someone could have had manual hubs on the truck, or took those caps off a Ranger with manual hubs. There are conversion kits from the PVH system we have to manual hubs.
