2000 4wd 302 swap

Can anyone help me get pointed in the right direction on my engine swap. Its a 2000 ranger 4wd and I have a 1982 302 to put in it.

With a 2000 Ranger, best to use the Explorer computer/wiring/front dress and sensors. Any 302 can be converted. The 2000 4x4 is probably the easest one to do a swap in. The key is to use as much of the Explorer as you can.
Best to run thru this that is out of the tech library up top for all the things to watch for.

How about just using an old carb'd motor instead computers in F.I.. Any problems there?

With the newer OBDII trucks too much runs thru the computer. Use any motor you want but best to use the Explorer intake/computer/wiring and sensors and the short front dress for the easest swap. I see you have a 2000 also with the manual. Carb's have been done but not for me.
