2000 3.0 to 4.0 swap

So I have two trucks one is a 2000 ranger 4.0 4x4 that was totaled and my other one is a 2000 ranger 3.0 2x4 so I swaped the 4.0 into my 2x4 because the 3.0 blew so my question is everything is hooked up I swaped the motor and trans and exhuast and rear end and column and pcm so everything is in and hooked up it cranks over but no start and theft light is blinking fast and scanner will not communicate with pcm I checked and replaced all relays and fuses and I changed the pats module on top of the air bag so no spark no fuel pump turning on so im stumped is it the immobilizer or? or does some one know how to bypass the pats Thanks
 
Are you sure there is nothing else in the steering column that needs to be swapped over? The theft light blinking is not a good sign.
 
So I finally figured it out I had two mobile lock smith's come out and try to reprogram the computer and key and pats module and they had no luck it would not communicate from obd2 port to scanner so both of said my computer was bad so I went up to pick n pull and got a computer out of a 97 explorer 4.0 4x4 so I installed it on my 2000 ranger xlt 4.0 4x4 and it fired right with no problem so the transponder and pats module still have to be hooked up for it to crank over I tried to take the module out and it would just crank over and no start so I reinstalled the pats module under the passenger side air bag and it fired right up so just letting everyone know if you want to bypass the pats anti theft you need a computer from a 95 to 97 with the same drive train this is in my 2000 ranger xlt 4.0 4x4 that was a 3.0 I had to swap the Trans and transfer case rear end front end motor the complete engine harness and complete engine bay harness motor mounts both sides exhaust manifolds to cats radiator and swapped the cluster it took me about two weeks by my self to do everything both rangers are 2000 excab one was 3.0 that blew up on me and the 4.0 ranger was a total that I bought so alot ssaidso if your board and have the knowledge and tools you can swap it your self peace.

I'm pretty sure the only thing you missed is transferring the pats module with the computer and then using FORSCAN to register the keys to the module.

I feel two weeks as i a great time to do that stuff. If something takes more than a day, i lose interest which adds about two years to the job. I have never been tested for any attention disorders but i feel my life would be alot less work than it is if i had been back in the early 80s when i started school. By the time iwas in junior high amd higj school, it was bad i barely passed school with a 2.0 but when iwent to a school i was interested in for technical school, aviation repair school, i graduated with two degrees and a 98.3 gpa and whatever that summa cum laude deal is. I didnt ask because i was ready to go.
