So the problem with my master cylinder is actually a leaky slave cylinder. Hard to shift when it's out of fluid. So it's clutch replacement time. Question is whether I need to replace/rebuild the trans. It shifts really hard, even with the engine off. It takes a lot of pressure right at the start of the gate and then kind of chunks in. If I take it out and back in the same gear, the second shift is easier. I read the factory procedure for checking the clutch that said to clash the gears. I can even get close to clashing the gears. The gate is just blocked unless the clutch is in. So do I need a new box or not?
