2" wheel spacers

with a wheeler if ur doing some hardcore wheeling you will need to be repacking the bearings and redoing them everytime out, for a daily drive i would not reccomend them WHATSOEVER, people that run them on the streets are one of the reasons there are such strict lift laws in NJ, ......just my .02

No good answer to that. Depends on the driving, miles and your driving habits. Sorry I can't give you a better answer than that. A few years ago with huge offsets on the trucks that were popular with the urban sect, they were going through front ends like chain smoking. Those were extreme offsets , 5 to 6 inches. So with just and 1.5" spacer I would be too worried, just realize that it is no longer stock. I've been hard core wheeling with my for 2 years with my 2" spacers and haven't had a problem so far but that is not on asphalt and not a huge amount of miles.

does anyone here have them on a daily driver? and if so whats your input on them?

This is why I will never use wheel adaptors!

I know someone whose friend had a pair and he was driving on the road, down a long straight hill. My friend was following him. Wheel adaptor broke. 36" tire passed the jeep that it was on and smashed into an ambulance that was coming up the hill on its way to a call. He got sued hardcore and no longer has the jeep. They were lucky that no one died.

What did he get sued for? Couldn't he sue the company that sold him a bad wheel adaptor?

:badidea: not safe IMO, i work at discount tire and we wont even touch anything with spacers unless we are taking them off.

Of course you can't touch anything with spacers. It's a liability issue. An altered from stock condition voids all warranties. That would place all liabilities on discount tire. If I owned a shop I wouldn't touch any altered suspension either. It doesn't mean that it won't work or is unsafe. It just means that they don't want to get sued. That's good business not a reflection of ability. Lawyers take all the fun out of life. We should all sit at home in a box full of packing beads, wearing a helmet, life vest and shin guards so we can't ever get hurt or hurt anybody.

Just put the damn spacers on and enjoy the new look, and if anybody asks, you didn't hear it from me.

That's my disclaimer:icon_rofl:

if u havent done your wheelbearings in 2 years and u do alot of wheeling then its a miracle, i ran wheelspacers on my trail only rig for about 2 months, i repacked the bearings every time out, but i did alot more mud then the average trail rider, with 12" wide rims with a mean offset and boggers.....but i guess mud halfway up the windshield on a regular basis will do more damage on wheelbearings.

I'm in the mud about every time out. I just replace the bearing in the spring and repack them a couple of times during the year. This is do to the mud not the spacers. They haven't gone bad they just get a little rusty and grind a little. OK I've done a little bearing work. That's why I can't equate my use and a DD.

I have a daily driver with 2 inch wheel spacers and my truck does just fine. My bearings are fine too. BUT do keep in mind that a correct camber is a must, if not kiss your tires goodbye. I have seen too many tires go bald inside because they have had spacers and allignment bad.

Yea, what he said.
