hey i have a stock 193 ford ranger 4cyl 5 speed all i have is some aggressive tire mounted on 16 inch exploder rims. I want to do a body lift on my truck im just not sure of how much trouble i will get myself into. Also i am wondering what happens to the shifter when i lift it, as well will i run into and other problems? should i buy a kit or just use plain old hockey pucks lol. all i really need to know is how much work this will be. and im worried about the shifter.

Well depending on how much of a body lift you want you can go with the hockey puck or get the proper kit. Hockey puck will get you about 1.25" with one puck (NEVER stack pucks), and you should not have to do anything to the shifter or the steering, but you may have to do something to the bumpers.

If you want 2-3" get the kit it'll come with everything you need (shifter extension, steering extension, bumper brackets, longer bolts, etc, etc)

And one last thing, depending on how old your truck is and how much rust your truck has doing a body lift could be a one day job, or a 2 week job.
