Hi all, I'm new here and wish to vent a bit....I bought a 2008 Ranger new, and at 7000 kms had the clutch slave cylinder replaced under warranty. There was a squeaking noise when clutch pedal was depressed....Now have 13000 kms and problem seems to be occuring again. In addition, my daughter had bought a new Ranger as well (because she liked mine), and she has about 12000 kms and starting to get same noise...

I'm tempted to drive this down to the Ford credit office and give them back the keys...

Anybody else have a similar story?

Thanks

Don

Welcome to TRS!!!! Sorry about your luck. Try posting it in another section.

My 2000 has always made a squawling if you take too long letting it out.

It doesn't hurt anything.

Search the NHTSA site and you'll find it's common on a few years.

Pure technique, in my opinion. I can make it do it at will, but I choose to shift most of the time matching rpms and not use the clutch to upshift.
