Im looking to buy new shocks all around on my ranger and should be putting in sj leveling springs and 1.5" shackles in shortly after. Could i possibly damage these shocks running them at stock height before i even get the sj springs and shackles?

from what I have read on shocks, you will be ok. Alot of the heavy duty gas shocks actually advertise that they will add 1.5 inches of lift to a truck. Just ask the part store you get them from and they will be able to tell you if the particular shock you are getting will be affected.

I wouldn't worry about bottoming out the shocks, not unless you are doing some crazy stuff with it...
