2.9L strating and running problems.

So im having some problems with my 2.9L....It had been siting for awile and i can get it to start but i have to keep pumping the gas to keep it running and it doesnt really want to stay running. If i put the gas to the floor it makes a kinnda loud sucking noise from the intake and it dies. today I took off the intake manifold to see if the gasket was bad and it was just fine. But i did find a vac port that was cloged up BAD. I dont know what it goes to or what it is. Here is a pic of the location of the vac mod. I will put up a pic of it and what it looks like tomorrow (it was Dark) but for now here is a pic of where its at.

I cleaned it out and put it all back togeather. I havnt tried to start it yet but need to hit up upull it tomorrow and get some things. But could some one please tell me what that is. and if anyone knows why it wont run.

You are talking about the EGR valve, if it's stuck open the engine won't run properly.

thanks....Ya i cleaned out the intake hole where the EGR bolts up and it was cloged os bad i had to pick at it with a flathead screwdriver. it was caked in there. no air or anything was geting past. i have to get a battery tomorrow and try and start it and find out what happens.
