I have 1986 ford ranger and I am rebuilding the engine (2.9) I have found mostly every thing I need for the rebuild ( parts and machine shop)except that the bolts that was in the engine were rusted and damaged pretty bad so I am hoping that someone might know were I could get a bolt kit or perhaps the information for what size bolts I need for each component. the only bolts I can seem to fine are head bolts but would really like to replace all the hardware. any info or tips on the rebuild were be great as well I love my truck and will listen to any reasonable advice on this rebuild. thanks for ur time and help

I had a hard time finding a kit, and buying bolts from ford are ridiculously over priced. I went to fastball and bought their bolts and taps and modified my engine. Good luck! If u have any questions pm me.

I ordered oil pan and valve cover bolts from MCMASTER.com, M6x20MM shouldered head, pack of 100 for $10 part #98093A440. These will work on water pump thermostat housing, many other places. No clue on timing cover bolt sizes as I did not replace those.
