Was having issues with the 94 3.0L having a rough idle, and a "shuttering at lower RPM while driving, especially in 4th and 5th.
Finally decided to pull the fuel injectors and took ohm readings on the coils and found one to be bad and another one had a plastic piece broken off of the tip(maybe I broke it pulling it out?). So decided to compare the 2.9L injector from my wrecked ranger and the 3.0L and visually they looked really similar. I chose to replace the two bad injectors with 2 of the 2.9L ones and see if the truck would run better.
The truck seems to run good now.
Im just curious if there is any difference between the 2.9L and 3.0L injectors. Different Lbs rating, or anything?

Thanks for any advice

I don't know...but that said, If I were you I'd be finding out real quick!! You could be burning your valves and pistons at this very minute.

More likely, he'd be fouling spark plugs. But if it works, doesn't make the cat glow, and doesn't make the engine ping, it's probably fine.

That plastic "hat" can be found real cheap in some O-ring kits.
