I dont know where to post this but am kinda new.But i have a question.
I went to look at a truck today and test drove it.It was a 89 ford ranger 4x4 2.9l and when i took off it doesnt go to fast until you get going i was wondering what could cause this? is it the rear gear ratio? thats what am thinking but i need help from you guys.and if this is not the right place please move to where it needs to be.

one extremely common thread subject matter around here is engine swap, that is swapping anything in place of the 2.8/2.9. they're total turds
