2.9 Want Start Agian

i got a 88 ranger 4x4 with a 2.9 5speed
my truck was actin up one day it sound like i was gettin no gas
so i just kept on drivin cause i thought it could hacve been bad gas
but that night i was drivin up the road and it cut off the i had some guy work
on it and he said my fual pump was good but my modual in my distributer
was bad so he replaced that and rewired the pump
then it did the same thing but the rewiring job must have sucked ass
cause the wire melted and now it dont run agian SO SOMEONE HELP ME!!!

I would start by using periods. It makes the sentences easier to understand.

Then I would take it back to the guy who wired it half assed and make him fix the wiring.

Yes, either the wire wasn't made to carry the amount of current the fuel pump is taking, or there might be a short somewhere.

IMO, pull the bed and do it yourself.

sorry but that just really mad bout my ranger. but i already pulled the bed and could not fix it my self. so i took it back to that asshole and he keep it for like a week and could not fix it as he said. but everytime i went by his shop he was not there so i was like screw it an took it to the guy that rebuilt my motor. so i hope he will fix that assholes shits wiring job.

Have the guy look at the pump as well to make sure it's not going bad.

i might be dumb ,,, but why the rewire job,,,you said it was running bad but you kept driving it,,,,,,he said dist module was bad which was probaly why it quit,,what lead him to rewire pump?,,,
