Is it possible to swap out a 2.9 to a 4.3 gm v6? And if so is there an adapter plate for it? I have this motor in my garage.

The 4.3 is a good engine but the 4.0 does the same thing and is easily swapped in.
i was gonna say junkyard.![]()
I know it's been a while, but did you ever complete this? If so any advice? I was just gifted a wrecked blazer that was running just fine before it wrecked and was wondering how hard it would be to swap into my bronco iiThe 4.3 would rip your 2.9 tranny up. Get a tranny for the 4.3 that hooks to it, shares the same bolt pattern as the 350 (and maybe others).
As far as bolt in, no, but it can be done, I have seen 350's put under the hoods of rangers. The 4.3 is a 350 minus 2 cyclinders.
It's been over 10 years, with no response. Probably didn't happen, or he's over on a Chevy forum.I know it's been a while, but did you ever complete this? If so any advice?
