If you’re trying to swap a 93 4.0 into an 88 with a 2.9 like I think I’m understanding is what’s going on…
You have a couple options. Splice a bunch of wires or swap the dash and dash harness with the motor.
How comfortable are you with doing electrical?
If it’s not complete, I wouldn’t even try other than to maybe spin the starter over. You honestly know a lot more of that stuff than I do. I’m comfortable with wiring, but that’s reading schematics and tracing wires. I’m sure the junkyard start up procedure requires less.if me and you were sniffing around a junkyard and found a fully intact 93 ranger...
