hello just curious to see if anybody knows if you can bolt up a 3.8 supercharged v 6 into a 1983 ford ranger thanks

I know a guy who once did it. He had to make the oil pan for it and a pick up tube. I stopped at his house a couple of years ago and he had sold it as I was going to post pics here. He had to use the transmission from the T-Bird and made some weight so it would quick breaking the rear tires loose.

You can put basiclly anything under the hood of a ranger if you try hard enough. Why a 3.8 liter? Why not do a 5.0 liter?

I know, a supercharged ranger would be cook, but afaik, these things like to pop head gaskets. not good while on trail.
IMHO, a 5.0L swap would be better and offer good torque.
