i have an 86 ranger 2.9 that i am having trouble with. last night i put a fully charged battery in and when i went to start the truck it just clicks. if i unhook the battery then hook it back up or mess with the terminals it will turnover. then this morning it turns over a few times then got slow and started clicking like the battery is dead, except the dome light is still bright and the radio plays fine. anyone have any ideas?

Are the connectors @ the terminal very tight? Is there corrosion? I would check those cables out and make sure that they arent touching anything through worn out rubber. Also check the other grounds, theres a bunch under there. They could easily be doing this..

yeah im having problems myself with my 88 broncoII.. it ran fine for 2 days now all of a sudden it wont start i just put new plugs and plug wires and still nothing just cranks but wont turn over..

Would be a good idea to start your own thread and not drop your problems into someone else's.
