2.9 stalling problem

88 v6 2.9 idle fine- rev up to 4k rpm and holds maybe 1 minute then starts die to 1500 rpm then jumps back to 4k all this without moving the throttle position- same thing while driving down road- replace cap and rotor, wires, tps and tfi + gutted the cats and replaced both fuel filters and checked pressure which was OK and pressure regulator checked OK- at a loss and need help

clean the IAT and did you reset the computer when you changed the sensor. Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes while you clean the sensor use maf sensor cleaner or rubbing alcohol or electrical cleaner.
 
thanks for the suggestion but did not change anything- may have a fuel problem- maybe the regulator- i plan on hooking up the pressure gauge again and letting the thing run a while to see what happens. also could be something in the tank- filter or hose- but thanks for the sugggestion
