2.9 ranger swap to a 302?

How hard is it and what all do i need to do to swap my 1989 ranger xlt 2.9 to a 302?

Welcome to the forum. Check out the "tech articles" on the upper left of the screen to get a lot of the information you will need for a swap to the 5.0. As for difficulty, that depends on how competent you are at mechanical and electrical work and what tools you have access to. I spent a year getting mine on the road, but I could work slowly because I had other vehicles for daily driving. Budget will be a major factor too. I spent about $5000 doing this--it will nickel and dime you into bankruptcy if you are not careful. Just get to reading other's build threads and making notes of what works and what you want the end product to be--then you can map out a plan. Good luck!
