Ok i have a 2.9 v6. I have been wanting more power out of it and i saw a engine called the cross worth 2.9 v6 with dual intake would that intake work on a ranger 2.9v6? I am puting a maf on it with headers and msd ingintion system with better plugs and i am getting it ported and polysed. I am allso putting roller lifters in it to.The last will be to get the computer reflashed. people say the 2.9 is a pic of junk at times i say the same. But for the most i like the little engine!!!! They are a challange to modfy and that is why i am doing it.(just hope i can find the $$$)
Has anyone done a 4.6 v8 swap out of a 04 mustang to a ranger? and kept it 4wd? cause once i am done modding this 2.9 i will be putting a 4.6 in my truck.
