I have a 89 Ranger 2.9 with no spark. I've been through all the threads and tried all the remedies. The truck shut off going down the road, no sputters or anything, just wouldn't re-start. I replaced the TIF module on the distributor, the coil and we checked the green/yellow wire from coil to TIF plug to make sure it was ok.
From what I've read, this pretty much leaves the ecu. Is there any way to check an ecu without buying a new one? Is there anything I've overlooked.
