does anyone have a 90 ecm and wire harness without egr valve and knock sensor. I think Im in dire need of one.

Ok I sunck my b2 in a river edge and had to change the motor out. I went back with a 2.9 out of a 90 ranger. This motor had no egr valve. And my harness has another plug that goes down the driver side of motor toward the bottom. This motor has nowhere for it to plug in. Now I have this motor where it will crank and run but after it gets good and warm it starts acting up and will die if I stop at red light and let of gas. It is also getting bout 3 miles to the gallon now. What is my problem? Can anyone help me?

i have a computer for a 2.9 automatic

mine is automatic is it for 90 model and did ranger/bronco2 it come out of have a knock sensor.

I got to go for the night I will be back on tomorrow bout 5:30pm eastern. any ideas or whatever might help Im willing to try. Thanks

have your tfi (ignition module) tested and run the codes it may be a map sensor or tps sensor but i still have the auto computer for a 2.9 if thats what it is o ya and make sure you dont have any vaccum leaks

90 computers had the MAF setup if you can get a 88 computer you would be set up it dont use either the egr or knock sensors. make sure the computer came out of a similar truck depending if you have a VSS vehicle speed sensor and auto or manual tranny. The only other thing I can see is the IDM resistor goes to the dizzy on the 87 and to the dash on the 88.
