What brand fits the best? I broke a manifold so I figure I just might as well put headers on it. 3" body lifted 89.

Headman 4.0 headers would be my choice.

Ok. I'll check them out. I'd assume I'd get the ones for a first gen expo rather than for a newer one?

Yeah, buy the ones for the gen 1 Exporer/Gen 2-3 Ranger.

The only thing you should have issues with is a need to plug the EGR port.

Also, you have to get the Y-pipe in, set the headers on it, then get your collector bolts started BEFORE you bolt the headers to the head, or things will never line up.

Ok about to order me a set from summit. Is there an intermediate pipe I can get to replace the cat? Mine is pretty damn rusty and it's just an offroad truck so I'd like to eliminate it if possible? Bolt in would be great.

I have a 1992 ranger 2.9. Can I use the 4.0 headers on my truck as well. It's 4x4 manual transmission. And I believe from what I have previously read the heads are of a newer design. This is my first ranger. I've always had f series trucks or Broncos, so the smaller engine I don't know as much about. Thanks guys!
