2.9 fuel problems?

did the 2.8 to a 2.9 engine swap and it had a little lag in the throttle response but ran fine as time went on the lag became bogging and wouldnt pull up hills but now it hardly will stay at idle i hear a whining noise under the cab and went under and it sounds like what looks like a inlin fuel pump maybe the fuel pump is bad? has a brand new intank gas assembly with pump inside any suggestions? tried the eec test but cant seem to count the code proberly guess im doing it wrong any ideas greatly appreciated thanks.

fuel problem revised

i have done the eec self test and the codes are different every time or gives me a code that does not exist today i redid the self test and got all codes and all legit but still not sure why all these codes mean getting 129 , 41,51,87,29,41 can any one explain these things and a way i can fix them ?

You do have an inline pump on the frame that creates the high pressure required (the in tank pump is just a low pressure unit to supply fuel up to the secondary unit).

Not sure what's causing the code problems. You will only get 2 digit codes on an 86. For KOEO testing, it will give you all of the KOEO codes, then repeat them. After a pause, there will be a single pulse (to separate KOEO from memory codes), then give you the Memory codes and repeat those.
For KOER, there's only one set so it just puts those out then repeats them. Before they start I believe you get a pulse indicating to do WOT throttle goose. Trans needs to be in neutral and a/c off.
