my ranger 86 2.9 has been running really rich, so i decided to buy a fuel pressure tester and i tested it, it was at 44 psi. is that what it should be at or is that to high?

Seems like it is just fine. Does the pressure leak down after you shut it off??

seems though it would be something else....have you gotten the codes?

Check the grounds to your motor, make sure they are all in good condition and tight.

well that is when the key is just turned to the on position. ill test it when running tomorrow
