While taking off a downpipe bolt the egr snapped off of the manifold. So I was wondering if I could just plug all of the holes? 2 vacume lines and the hole in the intake and exhaust

That is what I did till I found another EGR pipe.
And it took a long time to find a good used one.
Look for like a 89-92 2.9 it will have the plugs you need.

You my want to retard your timing if you get spark knock,
or you could use a little higher octane gas.

I think my 2.9 works better with the EGR working though.
Not a big enough deal to keep from driving it without though.

block them off, install 88-90 2.9 computer, and call it a day(after 88 the 2.9 was non egr)

Ok thanks, so any later 2.9 will have the blocks? And one mmore question, I don't mean to be dumb but where is the computer on them? And what all do I need

the computer is in your passenger side foot well, behind that plastic trim on the corner, it's plug and play to replace one.
