My 1990 B2 (auto, 4x4, 33" tires) is believed to have rebuilt heads, burns no oil (but does have a smell) and takes several cranks before starting (might be fuel related, just haven't gotten around to doing a test).

Anyway, the truck has no low end power, and can not go faster then 65 mph, and can never hold overdrive. At first I thought it was just because of the tires, but that doesn't seem right as 33" tires aren't really that big, and a V6 should be able to turn them.

Any idea what I should do? Compression test next step? Bad injectors cause this?

Thanks for your help guys!!!!

How old are the plugs?

I would do a compression test just to rule that out as the cause.

Spark timing is a big deal for performance.

I will try and pull some plugs tonight and see what I get.

How can I tell what grearing I am running? In all, it seems like it is weak on the go (not even close to spinning tires) and has no top end. :(
