I have a 1984 Ranger 4x4 that has been non op for years now.
I’m getting tired of not being able to get it smoged (CA) and have a running truck.

What I want to do is convert it to a Fuel Injected 4.0 liter Ford V-6. A supercharger would be cool but don’t know who this would work out on a 4x.

Have any of you converted a 83-84 ranger to a larger power plant, like a 4.0 V-6 or a 4.5 V-8 and if you did how hard was it? What did you need to change out and swap?

Thanks Bros
Mark

been done, take a walk over to the tech library on here, walks you through it.

You need to swap out your fuel system for that of a fuel injected truck to include the fuel tank for starters..
