I am putting the drivetrain back into my '85 RCLB. The 2.8 V6 has a piece of cast & machined aluminum between the carburetor and the intake manifold. The vacuum 'tree' and the EGR valve connect to this.

I need the gasket that goes between this piece and the intake manifold but have no idea what it's called and therefore, cannot source the gasket.

TIA

Rockauto has them under "carburetor mounting gasket" if nobody local can cross them.

If you look it up at Rock Auto, it lists the 'carb to spacer' gasket and 'spacer to manifold' gaskets separately.

After finding cracks in mine, I eliminated my spacer and EGR.

By the way, it's the EGR spacer.

You can buy or make an EGR block off plate.

What did you do to cover the exhaust port, in the intake manifold, that fed the EGR valve?

I forget, it was 6 years ago? I might have just blocked it off with the carb base gasket, I would have to check my rebuilt 2.8L. I think I did them both the same way. Pictures of my carb set up. I lost the info on it, I think it is a 2150 carb from a 1974 or 1978 Pinto or Mustang II with the tube from the exhaust manifold to feed hot air to the pull off.
