low on cash and time found a wrecked bronco 2 1988 4x4 with a manual 5 speed i need to take out the 2.8 that is 1986 automatic 4x4 but the donor has wiring harness/computer and all fuel lines anyone got a write up on this i will be truely confused going from carb to Fi any help would be greatly needed so im swapping the 2.8 for a 2.9 how hard will this be any help pls . thanks

Start by removing EVERYTHING from the engine bay where the 2.8 is now.

By the time you are done the only thing left in there should be the headlight wiring harness and an empty battery tray.

then take EVERYTHING out of the donor engone bay and put it in.

Don't forget "details" like the throttle cable

If you follow the same proceedure for the fuel system
you can use the Bronco2 fuel lines from the fuel filter forward, but for the stuff in the back you are going to have to go junkyard crawling (literally) to get a set of Ranger lines because they are very different
