Does anyone know why my 2.8l will start just fine cold, but when it's hot it has to crank a lot more. It's an 84 if it helps at all.

How much gas are you giving it when hot?
I don't give it any usually, until it won't crank then I give it a little then she usually floods out or starts its a gamble

So is it all original still? Any tune up lately? Parts replaced, plugs, rotor, dist cap, fuel filter? Those feedback carbs are notoriously bad if they need cleaned. Has this just started or been doing it for awhile and just got worse? More info would help us help you.

I just bought the truck it looks like a new rotor and cap, just replaced the fuel pump at my buddies house because it went out LOL. That could be the problem we will see. . I rebuilt the Carburetor, basically just a seal kit.
