2.6lv6 4x4 carb flods after start

The 2.8 like the setting rich on the idle air needles turn them in to lightly seated and then back out 3 1/2 turns each after it warms up set the idle speed around 800 rpms and then one at a time slowly turn it out 18 turn at a time for the highest possible rpms and then back in until the rpms just begin to drop. just keep adjusting the rpms to 800 with the idle stop on the side of the carb as the cable. If you have a vacuum guage it works a little better you want the highest possible vacuum pressure at 800 rpms. Get some #42 jets and change out the 50s that are in there.

Use a large screwdriver they are in there pretty tight. Install the new ones just as tight.
howdy!, once again, I wanted to thank you for all of your input on the issue i had with the float. I just installed the #42jets on the carb. I somewhat adjusted the mixture, and took it for a drive afterwords. It ran great...for a while. Now it went back into "crap mode". it first started to hesitate when going up a hill. after messing around with it, it idles poorly, and if i press the gas, it hesitates a lot and backfires. I smell fumes, but not a rich fuel smell. I am trying to get the mixture right. I went back on the posting you gave me on our last conversation. I will try to adjusted again tomorrow in the morning time, and i will make a video and upload it. If you have some time to view it, i will be very thankful. The choke is missing a heater hose. as of this moment, the choke does not open all the way ( it been cold lately here in texas). I installed a tachometer to see the exact rpms, I also ran a vacuum gauge to see whats happening with that, i got a reading of 15 and it moves back and forth just a bit (the settings of the needles are not correct, i am sure). I also bought a couple of kits for the choke, i bought a heater hose kit and a manual choke kit. I am not sure where the heater hose attaches to at the manifold(once again, someone chopped out a lot of things under the hood before i got my hands on it). I NEED DURASPARK II CONVERSION ASAP!. What items are needed for this conversion? Thank you very much for your help, and i would very much appreciate it if you could take some time out of your schedule to guide me in the right direction to assess this issues. thank you!, and i look forward into hearing your input!
