I've been beating different options around for a while now, a V8 convertion was the plan but locating all the harware was impossible around here. Ford made a 2.3L turbo... I have a turbo manifold off a mustang in my shed and it matches up with a 2.5 head.... so what would be required to make this thing a turbo? Nothing crazy like 20 psi of boost, I'm thinkin more like 8 to 12 max. I know stock internals won't hold... mabey a 2.3L would be a better place to start? Has anyone done one of these convertions? A parts list and price would be awsome. Thankyou for any and all info, it's a big help

first question you need to ask with a turbo build is how much horsepower do you want to make. psi means little when building a turbo set up, pick your power goal and build your motor accordingly instead of just focusing on trying to making a certian psi on your motor.

2.3 forged turbocoupe and svo parts are the most cost effective internals. the 2.5 block and head are the same its just a matter of stroke.

I'm tryin to shoot for 225 and no more than 250, I figure I don't need it to be a vette killer or anything just have some punch.
