okay got big stuff lined up,1998 2.5L crank/rods /w .040"
over pistons. 1989 small journal 2.3 block. do I need the 1989 2.3 oil pump or the 1998-01 2.5L oil pump? I came across an interesting site that suggested using 19lb /hr GM injectors,I am planning a slightly hotter cam and more displacement-Is there such a thing as a cold air intake for a 1986 2.3L 4x4? what about EGR removal? intake air muffler?

I don't know about the crank and block but why put 19lb gm injectors in the thing when 5.0 guys are just about giving them away also you can get a 19lb 55mm mass air from them as well if you really need one that big.(are rangers mass air?)and the plugs on the mass air usually are the same until about 1998

after all the work is it worth it? cause a 4.0 swap is alot cheaper...just throwin that out there

Hey I am NOT married to this 2.55L stroker idea-when you say a 4.0L swap is cheaper PLEASE be specific, will it BOLT in WITHOUT changing running gear then yes that is ok but i really do not want to change ANY running gear or suspension.the truck was just lifted a week ago and I hate the idea of throwing that money AWAY

you will need the 89 oil pump, it is in the pan, the 98 oil pump sits up in the block behind the aux gear.

I have the 19lb hr injectors if you need a set of them

you will just have to make your CAI... (home depot style)
