My budy has a 2.5 out of a 98 ranger but the wiring harness has been cut and computer is missing. I have 92 in need of some extra torque.

My question is what would it take to put the 2.5 long block in it with the 2.3 sensors and computer?

We have done this change a few times in the race trucks. You have to make a template from the -95 block and transfer it to the front of the +95 block.Drill and tap these holes to accept the -95 crank sensor.Use your -95 engine electrics. The alternator brackets are a little different so use your +95 brackets. Not rocket science but crank sensor holes have to be pretty percise.I think i am going to make a sticky on this project as this seems to jump up now and then.
