i am thinking of building a stocked turbo ranger and i am curios if i could use the turbo coupe rods and pistons on a 2.5 crank. i know they will bolt up but i dont know if it will work properly.

No,it won't work,different stroke.The 2.5 stuff will work if you don't run a lot of boost.Get some 2.5 aftermarket pistons and rods,makes a nice motor

wat would be the best way to run around 300hp i've heard you can use 350 rods but i dont know for sure im kinda new to the turbo 4cyl

I have built many 300hp 2.3s. All the power comes from the head. You get marginal power ups from stroke or larger bore. You get massive power from decking the head. But running turbo you got to watch compression. Turbo will ramp up the power but it will be in the higher end of rpm. I built all mine with no turbo. A decked esslinger aluminum head with full floating wrist pins and forged ultra light pistons, and 5.7" length (not 350 rods) rods will get you close. But the engine will be turning close to 9000 rpm.
