2.5 crank shaft timing gear removal?


are these the same as a 2.3?

I assume so...OTC made a special Gear removal tool for that function. It could come off with a little encouragement if you're lucky w/o a special tool. I'll include a pic of the tool built for that. I've managed to collect 3 of these in my travels....if you were close by it would only take 5 minutes...the tool is made by OTC/Rotunda....
There is/was a kit on eBay that has all the necessary 2.3 tools for sale....Black hat auction is the seller. I can't get at my info to share the set number or tool number at this time....

this tool is a must for working on these older 4 bangers..at least makes the basic tasks very simple...

thanks... this helps a lot. my buddy works at a dealership, so maybe he can get a hold of the tool for me. if not im sure my father in law can fab something up.
