2.3l vin d no spark

replaced head gasket and engine is in TDC and cams are in sync with the flat bar installed.
problem is no fire..
and wondering if it is off by any degrees if it wont let the engine fire?
also light tested the coil and it has signal at the pigtail but no fire out the wire.
please any advise. thanks Matt

Spark and fuel injection is started by the computer when it gets a "crank is turning" signal from the Crank position sensor(CKP) located behind the crank pulley.
So make sure that sensor is plugged in.

No, timing belt being off wouldn't prevent spark, it might prevent startup though because of no compression.

The coils(s) should have 12volts when key is on.
The ignition module grounds then removes ground to Fire each coil for spark, on 2001 the ignition module might be part of the PCM(computer/EEC) now.
So how did you test for "signal"?
Only 1 coil pack fires while cranking, I think its the one for the exhaust side plugs
