I recently purchased a 1992 Ranger with a 2.3L turbo motor out of an 85 SVO. I have noticed that under higher boost the clutch will start to slip, I am looking to replace the clutch but have a feeling there is a specific one I need and I don't wanna get it twice. So I turn to the experts here, any advice would be great. The transmission is a M50D I'm looking for a higher performance clutch that cam handle the abuse.
Thanks, Chris

I like my centerforce dual friction clutch i n my 1991 2.3t 4wd. Has good street manners and hasn't slipped yet.

I have seen the ones in the stinger site, but my worry is the original svo came with a t5 for the trans, so if I buy a clutch from his site for an svo is my input shaft on my m50d transmission gonna fit into the clutch plate?

I've been running a Centerforce stock replacement friction disc and their weighted pressure plate for like 7 years and have been really liking it, very sticky and very streetable

T5 found in foxbodys is 10 spline, m5od is 23 spline so that is a no... I have heard that the the merkur xr4ti 5 speed (I believe its a T9) uses the same 23 spline clutch disc though..

That was my fear, I guess I'm gonna have to pull it apart and see exactly what is in there as far as the clutch is concerned. I really wanted to have parts first but somehow custom builds have a way of slowing the process down.

you need 8.875od disc and 1" input shaft with 23 splines, call Shannon at Stinger, he has these in stock.
