2.3l exhaust

Is anybody with a 2.3l running a cherry bomb turbo muffler? Im looking at that as my main option mainly because of the price... do they sound nice and do they make decent gains due to the less restrictiveness of the smaller muffler?

Nothing sounds nice on a 2.3 just keep it stock. Use the search button i know this has been covered before.

I'm running one on mine and I'm considering adding a glasspack inline with it because I don't care for the sound of it. If I remember to get an SD card for my imitation GoPro this weekend I'll toss it on my truck and make a short clip.

I am running an 8" long Cherry Bomb glass pack and it as loud as hell, which I like and why I did it. I wanted volume and simplicity. Wouldn't recommend it if you hold conversations in the vehicle. As for power gains, you may get a pony or 2. If you want power (relatively speaking), you need to turn to the cylinder head. In that lies the restriction. A good port and polish will yield you some more ponies.

This is my whole exhaust. Bolts on to a Magnaflow OEM Stainless Cat.

48,000 mi on my 06& the stock muffler shit the bed.
I opted for the Thrush turbo,Was cheaper but had no hangers.
Sound is not bad as long as you use a tailpipe.

+1 on the thrush turbo.

Put one on my 91 2.3 and I like it, a lot better than a glasspack (which I tried and hated). Just make sure to keep the tailpipe on, other wise it doesn't sound right (IMO). Not super loud, but people know you're there.
