I have a 1997 2.3. I can only find a few articles here about it. I seen use the whole intake system including injectors, exhaust, pcm, and motor mounts from the 2.3 and it's that easy. Is this true? The posts I have found the original poster has not been on the site in years. Thanks!

a '97 2.3L and a '98-01 2.5L are basically the same other than engine program, crankshaft, connecting rods and pistons.

Thanks for the reply! I understand that, but if I swap the whole intake system including injectors, exhaust, pcm, and motor mounts from the 2.3 will it run perfect? I worry about the longer stroke and using the pcm that it will be lean. I see you did say program, but the original poster used the stock pmc. Anyone do this? If i do this should I get a 98 pmc?

You are looking at a volume difference of 0.2 liters. That is not enough to freak out the ECU. I am currently running a '98 2.5 long block in my '93 with original '93 intake/ECU with no problems for several years.
