2.3 roller cam head

So I searched on rock auto and I couldnt find a roller cam head except for the 8-plug head, does anyone know if there was a 4 plug head with a roller cam, and what year it was made? I would rather have it come to me as one piece then have to pay for it in pieces for the same price as the complete head.

'88 should have been roller cam, but the heads are the same, the only difference between the roller and flat tappet heads is the camshafts and followers, I put a Ranger roller cam and followers into my turbo engine that came with flat tappets...

Like Scotts90Ranger said, you can put a roller cam in a pre-'88 head, as long as the cam that you find is designed for an '83-'94 cylinder head.

In '95 the journals on the camshaft changed size, but before that, all of the geometry for the cam, lifters, and valves were the same for the Lima heads.

Yeah, but I'm looking to replace the entire head at once rather than do it myself

I have a 98-01 roller cam in my 4 plug head. Your info is wrong. The cams are the same for all lima 2.0, 2.3, 2.5 heads. Only lift profiles changed.

You need to get a head for whatever year motor you have. The intake manifold is different between head designs through the years.

Get the right head for the intake port style you have (there's 3 or 4 different versions...) then get a used roller cam and followers.
