2.3 plug wires

im changing the plug wires on my friends 91 ranger with the 2.3 an i got 6 done, but when i went to pull the back 2 off on the driver side, the wire came off but not the boots, anyone have any suggestions for getting them out of there without taking the intake off?

Plug wire pliers, or some long needle nose is what I usually use when a wire comes apart on me.
