2.3 NA Carb to EFI Swap

Performing a 2.3 carb to 2.3 efi swap in a 74 pinto. Engine is from a 92 ranger. 8 plug, DIS, MAF. There is a 91 mustang, also 8 plug 2.3 with DIS, at the pick n pull here that i can get a harness and computer from. Will the ranger engine and mustang computer/harness work together? The mustang was a 5 speed as was the ranger. Will be mated to a 4 speed pinto manual trans, so there is no VSS. Thats the only problem I can see so far and I dont know that thats a very big deal.

The computer on that doesn't care about the VSS, what you have planned will work just fine as they are about the same engine in the Mustang and Ranger but I believe the cam in the Ranger engine is more sought after as the torque peak is a little lower. If you need wiring diagrams for the engine go to the tech library and look in the turbo swap section and there are some very helpful diagrams in there.
